    visit some of the nicest Ocean Beaches you ever walked on. Make sure you pay one of the many lighthouses a visit and enjoy the scenery. Very often you can see seals or pilot whales from the shore. Bring a snack.
  • Enjoy uncrowded beachcombing on one of Nova Scotia's most beautiful beaches at
    Point Michaud. Feel the sand between your toes, built a sandcastle, take some surf lessons or hike the trails and watch some seals and listen to the Ocean.

  • Another place to see is beautiful town of Antigonish with it's astonishing tree sculptures. Antigonish is also host for the annual Highland Games in August, an event you shouldn't miss.

    Follow the hiking trail back 300 years and learn a lot of the way of living of the first immigrants and settlers. Spoil youself with good local cuisine overlooking the Bras d'Or Lake.
  • You can also visit the nice little town of Baddeck with the historic Alexander Graham Bell Museum or you can play another round of Golf a the18 hole Baddeck Golf Course.
    In Baddeck you will find many nice restaurants.
  • Take a tour underground at the Miner's Museum and travel deep on a guided tour of the Ocean Deeps Colliery. The miners village also features a company store and homes from the period 1850 - 1950. Get your tickets to see a concert of the Men of the Deeps.
  • Visit the Glenora Whiskey Distillery on Route 19 between Mabou and Inverness, where Canada's only single malt Whiskey is produced. Enjoy a good time at their Inn and Pub with daily ceilidhs.
  • If you love fishing, a trip to the Margaree River is worth while. Here you can experience some of the world's finest flyfishing for salmon.
  • And to make a Golfer's Dream come true, you can also play the remaining 2 Golf Courses on Cape Breton Island, including the famous Highland Link Golf Course.
  • The 500-acre Two Rivers Wildlife Park is home to many native Nova Scotian wildlife in a natural setting, including black bears, white-tailed deer, moose and cougars. Swimming, hiking, wagon rides, playground, petting zoo and U-fish ponds.
  • Loose track of time at the Fortress of Louisbourg National Historic Site, a authentically rebuilt fortified 18th century town, brought to life by costumed animators. Smell the bread baking, hear the cannons fire, see the blacksmith at work and enjoy an authentic meal.
